Mystical journey in the Sacred Valley
Amidst the Mountain Spirits
On this mystical journey, you will traverse and deeply experience the Sacred Valley, which has been inhabited for many centuries since pre-Inca cultures, which has always been considered sacred and holds many sites which have long been used for religious celebrations.
For several days, you will bathe in the energies of the valley and of its surrounding “Apus”, the Andean mountain guardian spirits. You will participate in a number of ceremonies through which you will work with the 4 Elements in order to obtain cleansing and healing, to fortify your connection to the natural world, regain centeredness and increase your understanding of the universe.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1 – We will leave Cusco in the morning and make our way, in our private vehicle, to Tipón, a site featuring channels and baths which were used in cleansing rituals. We will be performing a ceremony here, focused on our connection to the Water Element.
We will then travel down into the Sacred Valley through precious scenery. We will make a stop for lunch, before being driven to our hotel where you will have time to settle into your room and explore the place’s beautiful gardens before we meet again to perform a ceremony focused on our connection to the Fire Element.
Day 2 – This morning, our driver will first take us to Moray, an archaeological site which holds an impressive group of sets of concentric circular terraces dug several metres into the ground, resembling inverted round pyramids. At the bottom of one of these we will perform a ceremony dedicated to our connection to the Earth Element.
We will then make our way, past the little village of Maras and over the edge of the plateau which overlooks the valley, to the open-sky terraced salt mines called Salineras, built during the Incan times and still exploited to this day. From there, we will start a gentle hike back down towards the river and, once we reach it, will head to the nearby restaurant where a buffet lunch awaits us.
In the afternoon, our driver will take us to Ollantaytambo station where we will catch our train to Machu Picchu town, which we should reach a little before dark. There, we can settle into our hotel and go for a dip in the town's hot springs before a hearty dinner and an early night’s sleep.
Day 3 – We will get up very early this morning, in order to catch one of the first buses running the half-hour ride to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu. We will start exploring this mind-blowing site and find the spot for our final ceremony, focused on our connection to the Air Element. Then, we will meet our local expert for a guided tour of the archaeological site during which he will provide us with historical, cultural and mystical information about this New Wonder of the World.
In the afternoon, we will take our return train to Ollantaytambo and be driven from there, back to our Sacred Valley hotel.
OPTIONAL Day 4 – Today, we will be driven to a wonderful natural spot which will be the space for our San Pedro master-plant ceremony. Our work with this psychoactive, healing and teaching medicine will last the entire day. We will remain at the same site throughout the day. You will be able to roam around, isolate yourself, meditate or converse, as you feel.
Before dusk, we will return to our hotel for the night.
